Administration Questions

  1. Is it possible to export contact templates, reports, and setup tables created on one computer to share with other Clinical Fusion users by way of disk, email or modem?
  2. When importing registration data for the second time (it is not possible to do a second import with School HealthCare Online!!! Date), will Clinical Fusion overwrite the existing data, append to the existing data or ignore the data that is being imported?
  3. What electronic devices can be used for backing up the database?
  4. How do I give access rights to certain users?

Administration Answers
  1. To export Setup Tables, log into Clinical Fusion Administration, select Data Utilities, then Export. The wizard will guide you through how to export the contact templates, reports and setup tables.
  2. To import, click on the Import button. The wizard will guide you through the process.

  3. The second and future imports into Clinical Fusion will add the new records, and append modified import information for person who already exist in Clinical Fusion.

  7. In Clinical Fusion Administration, Select Setup Tables, then select Users and Groups. Highlight the group you need to give access rights to, click on the Properties button. Go through each Area and Item and assign the necessary access rights to each.

  9. In Clinical Fusion Administration, Select Setup Tables, then select Users and Groups. Click on the Add User button. Enter the name of the user and a password. Select the group the user belongs to by highlighting the group and clicking on the add button (>).

The following process is followed by a majority of SBHC’s using Clinical Fusion throughout the country.  You will need to refer to Online Help for specific instructions or call for technical assistance.   To access Online Help, click on the Help menu, then click on Help Contents and Index.  On the Contents tab, double-click on Clinical Fusion Administration Program, then Data Utilities, then select the appropriate topic. 

    a.    Database Backup

    b.    Run the New Year Cleanup – archives contacts prior to a specific date and advances a grade level prior to a specific date.

    c.    In Clinical Fusion, run a report of all students in the grade you want to remove.  Any student who should  not graduate or move up to the next grade must have their grade moved back in the registration screen.

    d.   Run Remove Graduates – select the grade that needs to be removed.  Be sure you want to complete this process.  If you still see kids even though they have graduated from the school, you do not want to remove them.

    e.   Archive Person - archive persons who are no longer in the school and are no longer being seen at the SBHC.

  17. Clinical Fusion does meet HIPAA regulations for all versions 4.0 and higher.  For more information on the modifications made for HIPAA please see Online Help.  Click on the Help menu, then click on Help Contents and Index.  On the Contents tab, double-click on HIPAA.

  18.  The selection criteria available to you is the date range.  The data will need to be selected according to other criteria once you import it into another program.
